The harvesting and treatment of the rattan

The Rattan is a species of plant from the climbing palm family and is grown in tropical forests. It has long vine-like branches. The plant has vertebrates and on the outside it looks a bit like bamboo.

The rattan industry is located in tropical regions of East Asia. The locals collect the branches in the forests and then the material is transported to factories for processing and treatment.

Rattan comes to us in a variety of forms: round reed, half-round reed, flat reed, flat oval reed and lot of other forms for chairs canning and each of them comes in several sizes.
