The Nice One
Always ready to help with a smile on his face.
He submits to authority with deference and grace.
He’ll accept all suggestions and won’t say a word.
His opinion is always the last to be heard.
He listens to others and gives all he can.
He’s kind and supportive to his fellow man.
He knows it’s noble to forgo one’s own needs
And devote life to others, performing good deeds.
Outside he is smiling, but bursting within
To avoid showing anger. That would be a sin.
For then his good name would not be the same.
It’s a virtue, they say, to be modest and plain,
Like light-colored things with no contrasting stain
