BASKET & POEM
This giant-sized seed
Holds the memories we need.
Its story echoes down through time
The soil protects its prose and rhyme.
Winds and ravens cast this seed
Far from its birthplace with all due speed
It sends out roots, becoming an oak,
Its secrets kept in the hem of its cloak.
הזרע הגדול ורב המידות
שומר בתוכו כל הזיכרונות
סיפורו יהדהד עד סוף דורות
ויגלה תבונתו בין רגבי אדמתו
הרוח והעורב יפיצו גרעינו
משפחתו יגַַדֵל רחוק מילדותו
שורשיו ישלח לחברו למקומו
וישא סודו בשולי גלימתו
